1. The Zero-Server Upload Principle

At PDF Page Extractor (accessible from https://pdfpageextractor.pages.dev), the privacy of our visitors and the confidentiality of their documents is our absolute foundational priority.

Unlike conventional online document converters, we do not operate any backend server processing infrastructure for document manipulation. When you use our PDF Page Extractor tool:

  • Your PDF files are never uploaded over the internet to any server.
  • Your PDF files are never stored, copied, or cached on any database or cloud disk.
  • All binary parsing, page copying, and document compilation occur 100% locally inside your client web browser's volatile memory (RAM) using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly.
  • Once you close or reload your browser tab, all temporary memory references are permanently freed.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Because our tool is client-side:

  • We do NOT collect document filenames, page counts, or file contents.
  • We do NOT require user account creation, logins, passwords, or credit card details.
  • We do NOT build personal user profiles or sell document metadata to third-party data brokers.

3. Local Storage Preferences

Our website uses standard browser localStorage solely to save non-identifiable user interface preferences, specifically your selected visual color theme (Light mode vs. Dark mode). No document data is ever written to persistent browser storage.

4. Third-Party CDN Scripts

To deliver high performance and reliability, our website loads static JavaScript assets (such as the open-source pdf-lib library) from public, high-reputation Content Delivery Networks (e.g. unpkg / Cloudflare). These CDNs may record standard technical server logs (such as your IP address and user-agent) strictly for network security and routing purposes.

5. Compliance with Global Privacy Frameworks

Our zero-server-upload model provides compliance by design:

  • GDPR (European Union): No personal data processing on external servers.
  • CCPA / CPRA (California, USA): No sale or sharing of consumer personal information.
  • HIPAA (Healthcare): Protected Health Information (PHI) within PDFs never leaves the local clinical workstation.
